Concluded spring trainings

Before summer vacation, a quick recap of the training I’ve done this year.

I finished two German courses at the TUM Language Center, going from A1.2 in autumn 2025 to A2.2 this spring. I was really looking forward to the Doctoral Supervision Training, a joint leadership course run by Helmholtz, the Max Planck Society, LMU Munich and TUM, and it delivered: coaching styles, communication and feedback techniques, and health, all things you run into constantly when working in teams or supervising students. I also did a TUM ProLehre workshop on supervising student theses.

The most immersive one was the CSC Summer School in High Performance Computing, ten days in Nuuksio, Finland learning HPC programming with C++. There was also sauna, hiking, canoeing, lake swimming and karaoke, so a great way to end the season before summer break.
